This afternoon Karla had her embassy doctor's appointment. Everything went well (other than a lot of screeching during the exam) and we have the sealed medical report ready to preset on Monday. Additionally, Pablo reviewed all of the paperwork we were given for the embassy and suffice to say we have and brought way too much. Almost all of the paperwork given to us is for re-adoption when we get back to Pennsylvania. Most of what we brought with us isn't necessary either which is really annoying because some of the things were non-trivial to get like notarized letters from work. Pablo said that the paperwork on the list we had hasn't been required for a long time and isn't sure why we were given that sheet. ARGH!!! Pablo said that compared to PGN and all the Guatemalan institutions, the US Embassy is "simple and easy" -- and that we just have to wait around a lot.
Karla's having a rough day. She's been somewhat cranky and crabby most of the day. She's had quite a few screaming meltdowns for reasons we can't figure out at all. Jennifer's out walking the latest one out of her right now. She was up early and took a short nap. We gave her some baby Tylenol because it looks like she might be getting some teeth in but that didn't really seem to help so we're not sure what to do.
Oh... I hear a "poppy" coming down the hall.. I'd better go...

YA YA YA:) Finally it's all done...hopefully you're stress free now. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in Guatemala!
Love,
Carey
all the final steps you've been dreaming about have almost come to completion! It's hard to believe it's real :) but i'm so glad it is! I can't wait to meet my niece Wednesday night!! YAY!!! Love you all so much!
You are on your last leg of the journey! Can't wait to see all "3" of you! Glad to hear that the doctors appointment went OK. Have a restful Saturday.
Same thing happened to us with the paperwork both times. They told us to bring TONS of stuff with us and then we ended up not needing most of it. I would much rather have too much paperwork than be missing something though.
Enjoy your last weekend at the Westin!
