We spent at least 45 minutes at the doctor's office. Our friend Diana has been such a blessing. We really could not have done all this so quickly without her. She was able to go with us and she was translating for us. We feel mad at "our" attorneys once again but we aren't surprised. Apparently Karla's pediatrician (Dr. Pinto) already wrote a report that this Embassy doctor requires prior to seeing Karla. Diana was able to speak to him on the phone from the doctor's office and he told her the attorneys should have it. Well, considering the attorney hung up on me two weeks ago when he heard my name, I doubt we'll be hearing from them again and we certainly don't want to rely on them. So, Dr. Pinto is going to write another report for us but has to charge us since we want it so fast. It isn't much but it is frustrating (again) that we are paying above and beyond because of all of our attorneys mistakes. Anyway, it should work out. We'll get the report in the morning and go back to the doctor's in the afternoon. We were getting worried at the office today because if we don't get this appointment done by tomorrow - we can't go to the Embassy Monday - and we read online that if you miss or cancel your appointment you can't reschedule for a week. Not sure if that is true but that is what was going through our minds.
We are letting it go though because we are going to be able to work it out tomorrow with Diana's help and Pablo said he will call us. We want to make sure we talk to him before Monday to make sure we truly do have everything we need.
It is a good thing that Karla had her "photo shoot' at the mall the other day because another thing this doctor requires is a wallet sized photo of the child. I actually have 4 from the mall! Yeah!
I have to say I was VERY proud of Karla because the whole time we were at the doctor's office the three of us adults were mostly busy talking to the receptionist and making phone calls and she was SO good, entertaining herself and watching the other people there. It would have been much worse if she was upset!
I'm so glad we "hurried" and tried to go to the doctor tonight, otherwise....we could have had some delays.
I have been continually amazed about the timing of things and how they are working out down here. I will have to write about all that in another post though. :) Lots of little and big blessings going on!

Little blessings, indeed. Karma/fate sorta owes you a few breaks with all that you've been through. ;-)
Keep pressing on with those requirements and know that lots of folks back home are thinking of you.
